Alex Pagnotta is Managing Attorney at Sinclair Prosser Gasior. He oversees the Estate Administration and Probate practice. Ensuring that individuals and families receive the best guidance to preserve their wealth and feel confident that their hard-earned assets are passed to the correct individuals when they want and how they want, is his primary focus.
Alex’s personal experience with the difficulties that can result from an inadequate estate plan, along with his passion for helping others, drove his desire to pursue the areas of estate planning and estate administration. Separately from estate planning, he understands that handling the estate of a deceased relative or friend can be difficult for everyone involved, so it is important for Alex to provide a caring and informed approach to help guide families
Professional Experience
Alex is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Estates and Trusts, Tax Law, and Disability Rights Sections and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. He graduated with an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University (NYU). During his time at NYU, he served as a Research Assistant in estate and gift tax, further solidifying his expertise in tax-efficient wealth transfers and sophisticated estate planning strategies. His advanced tax law education uniquely positions him to offer clients tailored estate plans that minimize tax burdens while maximizing the protection and distribution of assets.
Before joining Sinclair Prosser Gasior, he interned for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and eventually worked full time for the Department of Defense (DOD), while simultaneously attending law school. Alex was recognized by Super Lawyers as a 2025 Rising Star and by What’s Up? Media as Leading Lawyer in Elder Law, Trusts and Estates, Wills and Probate Law.

Alex was born in Maryland and currently resides in Annapolis with his wife and two sons. He is a Baltimore Ravens football fan, enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and family on the Chesapeake Bay.
